This whole-house renovation, designed by Diane LaSala and John Gardner Coffin, transformed a 3,000 square-foot 1950's style ranch into a 4,800 square-foot modern, contemporary home.

Completed over a 6-month period, the process was done in stages so that the homeowner could live in the house during the renovation.

This renovation incorporated an acoustically-designed live performance studio and a sound-proof multi-track recording room with large rehearsal spaces.

Some of the home's luxury additions include a passive-solar sunroom with a built-in spa, a dramatic master bedroom suite with cathedral ceilings, and a second bedroom.

Added on in the front extension is a large bedroom with clerestory windows and a volume ceiling.
